A friend of mine told me about the sweetest website Shabby Apple. They're having a Picture Princess contest and I just HAD to enter Avah. All I have to do is post 3 pictures of her on my blog (oh so many to choose from – how will I only pick 3?) and write a short paragraph on why I think she a “Picture Princess.”
As I think about Avah, tears are welling in my eyes. Why? Because there are no words that fully describe the joy she brings to my life. To me she's precious always making me smile, finding joy in the smallest of things and loves saying her 3 favorite words "Luv you too!" She's a little (and by a little I mean completely) obsessed with throwing things away, picking up anything that shouldn't be on the floor (like paper, snow clumps or fuzz), she is a move and a shaker (always on the go), and is at the stage where she HAS to do things like dress, wash and feed herself - with absolutely NO help. Let's just say, its teaching me patience. :) I love all of her quirks, mostly because she probably learned them all from me. Her shining personality and spirit are something to be treasured. If only we could all be so innocent. For these reasons and more, she is my angel princess.
I think Avah would look darling in lots of the dresses on this website, however if I had to pick one it would be the "Watermelon Summer Dress" Her dark curly hair would be the perfect accent to this dress.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention the prizes…The winner gets an entire Shabby Baby spring wardrobe and will be used in their summer 2009 photo shoot. How awesome is that?!? I’m sure lots of gorgeous, vibrant and adorable kids will be entered, so wish Avah luck. What a blessing a new wardrobe would be and to be able to dress her in clothes that make her feel like the princess she is.
