Happy Square Root Day...does that make me a square?

So this week, although its only Tuesday (3.3.09), has been eventful. I started in my new position at Consumers in General Accounting on Monday (I'm so excited!!!). Its definitely going to keep me busy, plus I get to work with some of my best friends! There's going to be a lot of training involved which is always draining, but I'll learn a lot. I'll keep you posted on the ups and downs of the new job.

On the kiddie front, Avah's been doing just swell with the whole potty training thing (a couple accidents, but we are SO proud of her). Today is a big milestone for Benn, and super sad day for me because he had his first bottle of formula tonight. I can't seem to find the words to describe how I'm feeling, so bear with me (especially for all those who aren't yet mommas-this might bore you). On one hand I'm so sad because he's growing up so fast (5 months old already) and I feel like I'm letting him down in a way (crazy, I know but still). On the other hand, I feel this huge relief and freedom. I'm still going to get up with the little guy when he gets up at night (I know...he's still not sleeping thru!) so we can have our one on one time. I'm sure this will pass and by next week or the week after I'll be so much happier with the situation. Aghhh...how am I ever going to let my kids leave and go to college? I really need to get a grip.

Russ is doing good too. He's gearing up for JV baseball at Concord. He's super excited for baseball season in general and I'll admit, I am a little too. With baseball comes spring, which means sunny days, watching the Tigers on TV, and playing outside with the kids. I long for warm days. I even bought some Coconut Lime Verbena hand lotion from Bath & Body Works because it smells like suntan lotion and reminds me of summer. :)

Well, thats it for me today, I'm judging regionals in Haslett on Saturday then I'm officially done with gymnastics. I'm glad that I'll get to stay home with my babes more, but sad to see the extra money stop, plus Russ will be coaching starting next week, so I won't get to see him much. :(

Have a great week and happy Square Day! I'm sure there are some other accountants, engineers, and computer geeks out there who think this day is cool too!
