Happy Birthday Angel

Today is Avah's birthday (the big 2!) and I'm sitting here at 9pm in awe that its been 2 whole years since our little babe was born. Time really does go by fast. She is becoming such a big girl, she's talking up a storm, putting words together into 2 or 3 word sentences and tries out a new word almost everyday which usually surprises (I have no idea where she learned the word pumpkin - that was her new word today). She's sensitive and caring towards Benn (I think I've mentioned before she gets his pacifire when he fusses and covers him with a blanket when she thinks he's cold. She also insists on helping change his diaper and give him a bath (its totally melts my heart every time!).

So, for the party details. We had her birthday at the Tree House in Chelsea - an awesome play land for kids. Some of Avah's closest friends and family came which made the day very special. I know she won't remember it, but we have a ton of pictures that I can't wait to scrapbook so I can share with her when she gets older. Everyone had a great time (at least I think they did) there were no major meltdowns and no injuries. All in all a perfect day. Avah is such a lucky girl she got everything a 2 year old could ask for and more. Some of her fav's were Elmo, a tricycle, diaper bag, a cabbage patch doll and her new dvd's. She was so tired and we have been so busy running here and there all day that Russ and I still haven't given her her big gift. And my mom hasn't given her the kitchen she got for her either...maybe we'll try tomorrow or next weekend when she's not so overwhelmed.
