What a day...Today was so much fun, so rewarding, and yet so tiring. Unfortunately, for me, I was a single parent today as Russ left early this a.m. for his good friend Brook's bachelor party in Chicago. But I had big plans (big for my semi uneventful life) to visit my brothers inlaws, hang out and attend a Pampered Chef party. Both kids were so good, Avah napped on schedule with no potty accidents (before, during or after her nap), and Benn practiced his sitting solo. This morning was filled with a lot of Elmo dvd's, playing outside on the deck (Avah has chronic cabin fever) and lots of cleaning. Before we even left the house, Benn was sitting up on his own (for about 20 seconds at a time)! Ha! Go figure, the one day Russ has guy plans. So I took a picture of Benn sitting with my camera phone and sent it to him.
The PC party was fun. I got to hang out with my sister in law which is always a good time. Avah had a blast because she got to play outstide the majority of the time and see Gus (her favorite horse). I bought a couple things (which I hope I use) and got a little break with the kids since there were grandma's at the party.
Once we got home, I was completely exhausted. Thankfully, my dad wanted to come over and see the kids. He brought us pizza (yumm) and actually played with the kids. I was pleasantly surprised and relieved that I didn't have to cook dinner.
Now, its almost 10pm and my house is quiet and I'm missing my hubby. HOpe he's having a good time as I know I did last weekend at Chrystal's bachelorette party.
