A Clean Bill of Health

Benn's 6 month appointment and follow up check up for his RSV was today. He's officially all better! Yeay! He weighed in at 17lbs (50th percentile) and is 27 1/4 inches tall (75th percentile). We are so happy our little bubs is feeling better. I think this 60 degree weather we've been having has been making everyone feel better.

Let's see, Benn's health was the big news, but what else has been going on? Last weekend flew by. Oh yeah, Avah had her very first hair cut. She just had a little trim (I figured it was about time since she's going to be 2 next week!) to take some of the snarly ends off. She did great. At first she was a little timid about the apron, but warmed right up after bribing her with some fruit snacks. After that it was smooth sailing, especially once a lot of the other ladies who were getting their hair done started ooohing and aghhhing over how cute and curly her hair was. She felt like a princess and loved every minute of it. We of course saved locks of her hair for her scrapbook, but I completely forgot my camera so the best I could do was use my cell phone.

Sunday Avah and I spent the entire day together starting as we went up to Lansing to get bridesmaid/flower girl dresses for Russ' brother's upcoming wedding. Avah was a trooper and even stuck it out after lunch when we decided to go to the Meridian mall for more shopping! Bless her heart, she slept the entire way home. Then woke up just in time to have dinner with Ella (and her mom and dad-our neighbors and good friends) . They played and played and played.

Now, its back to the working world again and I hate to say it, but its flying by. I know, what a horrible thing to say when tomorrow is only Tuesday, but I have so much to do to get ready for Avah's birthday on Sunday (mostly just figuring out what to get her gift wise and what she's going to wear) that my head is spinning. When will I get it all done? Instead of shopping, tonight we went for a long walk because it was so gorgeous out. The next couple nights we have dinner plans then before you know it it'll be Saturday which is when I get to go to Chrystal's bachelorette party. So, I suppose the plan is to do a lot of shopping on my lunch hour over the next few days. :) Hope everyone has a great week too!
