Pictures!!!

Check out these pics we had done at Portrait Innovations. We're really happy with them and the kids even cooperated! Having pictures done is always daunting with kids because you never know what kind of mood they'll be in, if they'll be sleeping or awake, or if they're going to have an accident and mess up their outfits before you get a great shot. Needless to say, I spent a lot of my day yesterday and quite some time earlier this week stressing about these pictures. All turned out just fine and it was fun to spend the afternoon with Russ and the kids.

Unfortunately BOTH our kids are sick. Big SAD face. :( Russ and I had some flu bug thing earlier this week and now I think our babies have it. Benn has a horribly stuffy nose, which intensifies when he eats because the poor thing is trying to breathe out of his nose which is completely plugged up. Avah just doesn't seem like her bubbly self and has a raspy cough. PERFECT huh?! 3 days before I have to go back to work my kids need me to stay home with them. Aghhh, what to do?

So, hopefully this weekend will be very low key. I think we're (maybe just Russ b/c its supposed to be VERY cold) going to get a Christmas tree and stay home with the kids to decorate it. Maybe make some cookies that Avah can ice with frosting. And some major cuddling with both the kids and my hubby. Russ is going to the Red Wings game with my brother and dad Saturday night, so I'm thinking the kids and I might both be in bed early that night (yeay sleep!). Then Sunday we have to figure out where we're going to go to mass - our church suffered severe damage from a fire earlier this week. Luckily no one was hurt in the fire, but its still devastating to everyone who attended. A great reminder of everything we should be thankful for and another reminder not to take the beautiful things we've been given (babies, families, communities, etc) for granted.
