Spring Break

Even though we aren't teachers or get the privilege of having an entire week off to celebrate spring, we still enjoyed a mini get away with our neighbor friends who are teachers. We had a great weekend, and more importantly, the kids had fun. We drove up to Grand Rapids and stayed here. The hotel was super nice with big rooms, and they were accommodating when we asked to have rooms next to each other. The kids' favorite part was the pool. There was a mini aquatic center in the hotel with slides, water fountains, a whirlpool, hot tub and a 3 story water slide for adults.

I have no idea who this adorable girl is, but Benn sure was showing off for her trying to drink from the water fountain.

The kids being fish

It was "raining" inside! The kids thought this was neat to look at but didn't enjoy being 'rained' on much

"Hiding" out under the slide.

Benn going head first down the slide. TROUBLE!

On Saturday, we visited the Children's Museum. It was so cool! There was so much for the kids to do there. We were there for almost 2 hours and didn't even see everything! The kids played with legos, went fishing, stacked blocks, played with trains, dumped sand, colored, played with magnets, went grocery shopping, and so much more. Check out some of the neat things that we did...

This was an apple tree that you could "pick" apples from. They are magnetic and the kids loved putting them on and "picking" them.

A block stacking exhibit. Notice the sand table and real VW Bug in the background!

The lego table.

A ramp with bells that you tossed golf balls down and they made a "ping" noise every time the ball hit the bells. One of Benn's fav's since it involved a ball, throwing and noise. Key features to holding his attention.

Life sized connect 4 with balls instead of checkers.

We played on this for half an hour!

Great weekend! Enough said.
