As requested by my MIL...
Pumpkin roll (before its rolled) minus the ooey gooey filling.
The finished product...
Wolah! My pumpkin roll. After 3 and a half long hours of standing in the kitchen, I've got 3 pretty darn good looking pumpkin rolls. No taste tests have been conducted as of yet, so I'm hoping they don't disappoint.
I should mention that this was no easy feat. There are so many steps (3 pages - including pictures, of ingredients and instructions). I even had to use a special jelly pan (didn't even know what this was, but was excited to learn that I had one - wedding gift). I did have one minor mishap. I forgot to put the pumpkin in the cake part before baking it. YIKES! How do you for get the pumpkin when making a pumpkin roll? LOL (I have a short attention span, can you tell?). After that it was smooth sailing.
Now its 11:30 and I'm ready to hit the hay. I'm excited to get up and watch the Macy's parade with the kids. Looking forward to a great day with family. What are some of your favorite things to do on Thanksgiving?
