Well...sort of. I feel like I'm living in a construction zone, but it looks more like a tornado went thru here. For those of you that I haven't told yet (I'm a wee-bit excited, can you tell?) we are having our house painted. Yeay!!!
Now I know what you're thinking, why can't we just paint right? I'll tell ya why. My mom and I did try to paint our house 3 years ago (interior) and it was a nightmare and I'm NOT exaggerating. We have cathedral ceilings (doable with a tall ladder), but we also have a bi-level house. So, that means that in our entry way, the distance from the floor to the ceiling is greater than what our extension ladder will extend to. What does this all mean? It means DANGER. That mixed with an impatient, perfectionist and you've just spelled disaster. Thankfully, the first go around was uneventful and nobody got hurt. This time we needed to paint the ceilings and I've been longing to have my faux wood trim painted white.
So, we found a great painter (thanks Kathy!), saved up a bunch of money and in just 1 short week the trim, doors, ceiling AND living room have all been painted. Holy moly! I'm excited to say the least. I can't believe what a difference color makes. All that's left is the hallway, dining room, kitchen and entry way. It sounds like a lot, but all that's left are the walls so it goes pretty fast. Thank goodness, I'll have my house back together by Wednesday and we'll finally be able to put our Christmas tree up. Did I mention I can't wait???
Here are the preliminary "Before" and "After's"
"Blue Spa" That's the color - no decor yet, it'll come in time.
I apologize the color isn't this bright in person. But this is what my flash does bc I have crappy lighting in my house at night.
I just thought this was cute. Benn's trying to convince Dakota (the dog) to be a Tiger's fan. But Dakota's just not that into it. LOL
