Well, Sunday marked a big milestone for Benn. He had his first taste of cereal (ya know the Gerber rice kind for babies). For some reason I’d been putting this off even though Russ, my mom and even the pediatrician recommended it to help Benn sleep longer at night. I guess its just hard because he’s probably our last baby and him eating cereal marks the beginning of him not being such a little guy anymore. Don’t get me wrong, I’m totally looking forward to him sleeping through the night consistently, but it makes me a little sad too.
Anyways, back to Benn…he wasn’t too sure of the cereal. He did scarf some of it down, but he made a lot sour faces as he swallowed. I started to feel bad that he didn’t like it, so we stopped and we’ll try again tonight. I told him (not that he understands) once he finishes this box (which could take weeks!) I’ll get him the kind with bananas or apples mixed in. We’ll keep ya’ll posted on his progress. I'll try to post some pics of how the first feeding went later tonight.
