Who's kids are these?

Today started off as any other Saturday. A little earlier since the kids woke up at 6:45am, but none the less, a normal Saturday. We made french toast for breakfast, watched some Tigger and Pooh, bathed, etc. Then the excitement began. We met a good friend of mine, Kathy, and her kids at the Chelsea TreeHouse and everyone had a blast. It wasn't overcrowded or swarming with hyped up school aged kids bullying the younger kids. It was nice. The kids burned off some energy and had fun playing with each other (like they don't see each other enough :) ) We had lunch, played some more then once the kids started to act tired, we headed home.

THEN...something happened. My kids went from happy go lucky, to crabby-impossible to reason with-talking back-impatient balls of messes! Avah refused to nap, and kept demanding cookies. Bennett took a short nap, which contributed to his crabbiness later when we decided to go in town. We went to Lowes with the intention of getting some caulk to seal our windows (been meaning to do this for months, but just haven't gotten around to it) and wanted to stop to see my brother and possibly try a trip to meijer. When we got to Lowes, Benn ran ALL over the store so Russ spent most of his time chasing him. Avah was complaining of a belly ache (a fib she tells at least three times a day) so I was forced to carry her while trying to keep up with Russ who was chasing Benn. After 20 minutes of this we decided it was time to grab our stuff, pay for it and leave. But not before Avah thought it would be fun to BOLT out of the store. Yup, I was following Benn (Russ was in another isle) and Avah bolted out the entrance of LOWES! I grabbed Benn, ran to get Avah, put Benn down, grabbed Avah by both arms, carried her back in the store, with Benn tagging behind us, scolded her for running away just in time to see Russ walking back. I was SO SCARED. I had a hundred things racing through my mind of things that could have happend to her, things so horrible I don't even want to write about them. Thankfully, she's perfectly fine and never really got more than 20 feet from me, but bolting into a parking lot gives me anxiety. So, after we paid, got both kids in the car kicking and screaming we decided it would be best to just go home. So I ask, who's kids are these?

We got home at 5pm, Avah continued picking on Benn. The usual tackling him, taking his toys, bossing him around. And Benn didn't help the situation when he kept hitting her. At this point, we seperated them, put Avah in bed to relax and watch cartoons and we put Benn down for a nap. Benn woke up in time for dinner with a much better (non aggressive) attitude and Avah is STILL sleeping (its almost midnight). What a day.
