Fall Fun

The last few days/weekend have been pretty low key for us, which is completely unusual around here. Not only have we had no plans, but we haven’t made plans at the last minute either. A lot of the reason might be because Russ was on doctors orders to relax for a few days. For what ever reason, it’s been nice. Spending a lot of time with the kids doing fallish stuff. Last weekend, we visited the Callison’s and Avah (and Benn too) got to ride Gus (the horse). It’s becoming a regular thing for Avah. She gets so excited and was looking forward to it all week. She’s our little equestrian. It was nice to get some fresh air and sun after these last few days of cold and gloom.

Tuesday, we had gymnastics class and Avah got a new leotard. It’s THE most adorable thing to see a little tot in a leo. To say the least, she was pretty excited about it an insisted on wearing it most of the night. Thankfully we were able to get her to take it off before bed. J

Tonight was a rather productive night. We (well, I mostly) cut back all the shrubs and perennials, pulled up all the annual flowers that were beyond pathetic looking from the multiple frosts we’ve had, and picked up the doggie piles in the back yard (I’m sure you didn’t need to hear that detail, but it makes me feel better to see what I’ve accomplished in words – and believe me it was a chore). We topped it off with a nice walk with our neighbor friends and both kids were in bed by 9pm. Hopefully this weekend will be nice too. A little more yard work and some more time at the apple orchard would be nice.

I'll try to post pictures later this week.
