So many milestones and so much bragging for a proud mama to do. The 9 month mark is by far my favorite age. Benn is doing so much now and interacting that every time I watch him, I’m amazed and in awe of the things he does. It grabs all of my attention when I hand him a spoon and watch him be mesmerized by its shape and texture. I can just imagine that he’s thinking so intently trying to figure out what the darn thing is and what he’s supposed to do with it. Agh…the simple things in life.
I promised I’d post a picture of him crawling and its finally here.

I promised I’d post a picture of him crawling and its finally here.

Also, he just started eating solid foods (in my mind anyways). I’ll explain, but check out these pictures of Bennett eating bananas.

It’s his favorite food (other than those cheese puff looking snacks that Gerber makes for toddlers). When ever I give him some bananas I want to sing that B-A-N-A-N-A-S song. Do you know which one I mean?
I say he just started eating solid food because he struggled for a long time to get his tongue to actually move food around in his mouth. Anytime we’d put something other than baby food in his mouth he’d make a huge scene and start gagging. So, finally a couple weeks ago he got the hang of it and we’ve been feeding him puffs and bananas. When I dropped him off to daycare the other day I told Pat (his daycare provider) of his huge accomplishment and she said, “Oh yeah, he does good eating. In fact, he had some grilled cheese today!” Nice, have I been babying him? Who knows, but apparently the kid eats sandwiches now. Actually, that’s an exaggeration, but you get my drift. My little guy is growing up and I want him to stay this age forever.
