Deals and Steals

What a great, productive day! I got up early, although not as early as my cousin (she was at Kohl's at 4AM! - crazzzzy) and with shopping list in hand I drove to the first store (in the dark) just to find what I needed and wait over an hour in line to pay for it. 6 stores later and a trunk full of gifts, I called Russ and he brought the kids to meet me for lunch. We also met up with my mom, sister (in law) Amber and Matt. After lunch I was ready for nap.

I did score lots of great deals. Sorry I can't give specifics, because I don't wanna ruin the suprise for anyone reading. :) But I can tell you my plan of attack. First I went to Kmart (where I haven't been in over a year until today), then Gap, an unexpected but very expensive stop at Gymboree (they had 30% off until 1pm plus I had a 20% off coupon for my entire order), then to Walmart to meet up with my cousin, Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, then finally Kohl's. All in all it was a great day. I love finding deals and steals. I hope everyone else had as much fun starting their Christmas shopping as I did.

Just in case you're wondering, Russ was a great hubby and dad today and offered to stay home with BOTH kids while I spent some much needed alone time shopping. But I kind of get the feeling he wishes he had done some shopping too, so we may end up going back in town this afternoon! Can you believe I have the energy to go back in town? Whew, we'll see.
