A Holiday Reunion

We had one exciting weekend! Not only was it a holiday weekend and we got to enjoy an extra day off work, but our cousins came all the way from Tampa and Atlanta to visit us. We had a weekend full of bonding, reconnecting, and forming new memories that we'll cherish for years to come. We spend most of our days together eating at some of Jackson's famous restaurants (i.e. Jackson Pizza Factory, The Parlour, etc), we saw a Tiger's game, and even went to the Spring Arbor parade. At night, we reminisced about old times, growing up, and catching up. We bonded over wine and spent quality time getting to know each other again.

Our kids did much of the same things (minus the wine part of course!). Avah and Benn played their little hearts out with their cousins Olivia and Frankie. They were all really well behaved, and played like they've known each other their whole lives.

The weather wasn't the best, until Monday but we didn't let that get us down. Check out some of the great memories we made this weekend...

Kris and I being silly, finally back together again!

Introducing sweet baby doll Frankie. Our youngest niece (to date), whom we met for the first time this weekend.

The big kids, picking up right where they left off playing and giggling.

Ready for the Tiger's game!

Twins? Sisters? Nope...adorable cousins.

Riding the carousel.

Benn finally got to meet Paws. Quite possibly the highlight of his day, even though he appears bashful in the picture.

Emily and Frankie. BEAUTIFUL people, inside and out!

Just relaxing together.

Memorial day parade.

Daddy and Benn watching the fire trucks.

Fashionable Frankie, stylin in her shades.

The cousins, together at last!

Great weekend, sorry to see it go. The good-byes were hard, but look forward to next year! Happy Memorial weekend everyone!
