A Tiring Labor Day Weekend

What a fun Labor day weekend! Our great friends (the Shore’s, Allen’s, Tello’s, Chrystal and Brook) threw us a baby shower. It was just the pick me up I needed to get me thru these last few weeks until our son arrives. It was so much fun and we feel truly blessed to have such amazing friends. The kids had a great time playing and Avah was doing her best to keep up with the boys (Nicholas and Gannon) – whether they were jumping in the moon jump or playing t-ball. Needless to say, she passed out sleeping on the way home.

Saturday was eventful too. We went with our neighbors and took the girls to the zoo. It was so awesome watching Avah experience all the animal sights, sounds and yes, even smells. We went to Binder Park Zoo and Avah got to see giraffes, donkeys, birds, zebras, pigs, cows, and emus. She tended to like the bigger, slower moving animals the best like the giraffe. All in all it was a great day…exhausting, but great. Again, Avah slept the entire way home.

Sunday was a lazy day for us. We did the usual routine, church then we had breakfast with the family. We did absolutely nothing the rest of the day except soak in a few football games. It was a nice relaxing and lazy kind of day.
