On August 6th, we participated in the Relay for Life. This was the first year we've participated and we will definitely be participating for many years to come. Just being in the presence of so many survivors made me feel more hopeful about my mom's prognosis and moved me to tears at times just watching my mom surrounded by all her coworkers who have been beyond supportive. My favorite part of the evening was the atmosphere, and how everyone embraced each other. What an amazing group of people. I was nothing but honored just to be a part of it. I really am overwhelmed by all the support and believe whole heartedly that my mom will make it through this.
