So, this week is exciting for us. We’re leaving for a family vaca to the U.P. on Thursday. The plan is to drive to the Bridge Thursday night, stay the night in a hotel, then make the rest of the trip (5 more hours!) on Friday. I cannot tell you how excited I am. We’ve had this planned for months, but things around here have been super busy so when Russ and I realized we’re going to be gone next weekend it was a pleasant surprise.
We’re keeping our fingers crossed that the kids do well with the 10 or more hour drive (depending on how many bathroom breaks Avah needs). So, the purpose of the whole trip is two-fold. First and foremost, we need a vacation. Second, we’re going to see my best college buddy, Nicki, who lives in Crystal Falls. If you’ve never been its amazing. I’ve been to visit in the winter and summer. Both are beautiful. I’m looking forward to lots of time on the pontoon, kayaking, hiking, and a little relaxing too! Plus, Nicki just had a little girl, Vienna, born in March. So I’m sure the kids will have fun too!
Aghhh, dreaming of vacation…but back to reality. There’s still so much to do. Don’t worry, I won’t bore you with my laundry list of things to do before we leave. Just know that its 2 pages long already!

Oh, I'm jealous! The U.P.!!!! I went to school up there (in Sault Sainte Marie) and I miss it there so much. The heat may not be quite as bad up there (with the water, you usually get nice breezes) but it still could get very warm. :)
