Beach Bum...in the Sun

Well, we ventured to the lake last weekend to take advantage of this gorgeous Michigan weather. Avah enjoyed her first trip to the lake...well, actually not so much the lake part as much as she did the swinging and playing with her sand toys. It was a great day...we took a picnic lunch, waded in the water and watched Avah explore natures best (i.e. prickly grass, soft sand and of course the slightly chilly lake water).


While she wasn't a huge fan, she was a trooper and indulged mom and dad, if only for a few minutes, by walking and wading in the shallow water (without holding our hands!) before losing her balance and splashing in the water...getting her swim suit wet. Hey, that's what its for right? After that, she had had enough of the lake and we sat on a blanket watching the other kids frolic in the water until it was time to go home.
